Should any of you be so tempted, my big 4 0 is happing this March 4th (a Tuesday). Why am I telling you now? Because I'm up in Portland and want to give people plenty of notice.
I'm not sure why the gods have foresaken me with a birthday of such magnitude on a Tuesday, but that's the hand I'm dealt.
However, the gods have also blessed with me with quite possibly the best marching band in the whole world, March Fourth Marching Band (a date, a command, a band) who named themselves after the day they were formed, which also happens to be my birthday. In honor of this fabulous birthday, they actually are doing a whole series of shows, leading up to that big day. Matinee and evening shows on March 2nd, evening shows on March 3rd, and March 4th. In particular, it's the March3rd show, that I'm overly thrilled about as it will also feature one of my favorite world party music bands of all time, Balkan Beat Box in their first Northwest appearance.
Likely the weekend before will involve at least one ski outing.
Anyway, I know it's school nights, but just thought you Dustfishies should know, should you be inclined to head north for such a momentuous occasion.
